MEET COCO. Coco the Havanese.

Coco is the beloved puppy of our Vice President of Marketing on the 21st Century Animal Healthcare team, Colin. Coco will live in both Arizona and Texas. Although she hasn’t traveled too far just yet, but she will in the future. What a lucky dog! Read below to learn more about this excitable breed.

About the Havenese breed*

Havanese (singular or plural, the name’s the same) are happy little dogs with a spring in their step and a gleam in their big, brown eyes. This definitely describes Coco! Sometimes Havanese have blue eyes that stay even after they are past the puppy stage but Cocos eyes right now look green or hazel.

Havanese are also sometimes known as Velcro dogs because they like to hang by their owners, they love being around people and Coco certainly fits this description as she is always making friends with everybody who stops by the house, off course she always comes back to hang by her owners side.

Training Coco, the Havanese

Coco is eager to please. With the help of patience, delicious treats and positive reinforcement, Coco is doing a great job learning the necessary skills and behaviors she needs in her every day life. Since Coco will be traveling quite a bit when she is older, some extra training with a professional might be helpful. This is the plan for now! But Coco continues to show positive behaviors and a fun loving attitude! Her trainer says she is a very smart pup and realistically I think she is trying to train us.

What Essential Pet products does Coco take?

Coco is only 14 weeks old and we haven’t started her on any specific supplements yet, although we do use our Salmon oil as a tasty treat on her food to ensure that her silky glossy coat stays that way. She also gets to try out some of the newest innovations that 21st Century is working on and she is certainly a willing taste tester.

You can see more about Coco here, on Facebook and Instagram!
