diy pumpkin spice oatmeal dog treats, glass jar with round, orange dog treats. 3 pine cones, leaves, and two cloth pumpkins

If your pooch is still pouting because he didn’t get to raid the Howl-oween candy stash, these pumpkin spice oatmeal treats will get you back in his good graces. Not only do they smell abso-woof-ly drool-worthy as they’re cooking, they’re also loaded with fiber and beta-carotene. Pumpkin and oatmeal are both known digestive aids for dogs, and these treats are great even for pups with sensitive stomachs.

What are you waiting for? These pumpkin spice (or should we say pup-kin spice?) dog treats will get your dog’s tail wagging!

DIY Pumpkin Spice Dog Treats

Ingredients:

¾ C canned pumpkin

½ C water

1 TBSP olive oil

½ tsp cinnamon

½ C oatmeal

2 C whole wheat flour

Directions:

1. Combine the first four ingredients until well blended.

2. In a separate bowl, combine the oatmeal and whole wheat flour. Slowly add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients while stirring. The mixture should form a thick dough consistency. If it seems too dry, feel free to add more water until you reach the desired texture.

3. Roll the dough out to approx ½ – ¼” thickness, and cut with cookie cutter. (We think these dog bone cookie cutters are paws-itively adorable!)

4. Bake at 375º for 35 minutes. Allow them to cool completely before feeding to your dog or storing.
