I get asked questions all the time, especially from those who know me. I love answering them, but sometimes I wonder why I know the answer and they do not.

Please don’t take it the wrong way. I’m simply stating a cat fact. Does that alter your purrrception of me? I’m really a purrfectly nice cat – born and raised in a loving, giving home. Purrrhaps that’s why I know things. While others might be wandering around town questioning where their next meal is coming from, I’m at home playing with my toys, relaxing by the windowsill laying on a book taking in everything I can.

Take the other day for example. I was grooming myself upon my bed when a fur-less gentleman passed through my lawn. This human was holding a blue and white sign and a clipboard with a pen attached.

Being the wise and observant feline that I am, I immediately identified this fur-less fellow as a trusty dogcatcher. He was visiting our neighborhood to do research on all of the canine creatures residing among us. Once the names were taken and the creatures were identified, the capable gentleman would kindly escort the four-legged barking machines to the next neighborhood over.

It’s not that I hate dogs. I just prefer peace and quiet. Why do dogs insist upon making noise when they could simply sit back and enjoy the beautiful yards in which they live? It’s too bad my fur-less next-door neighbor wasn’t home to answer the door when the dogcatcher knocked. The dog over there is heinous.

But now that I’m thinking about my comfortable home and sometimes annoying neighbor dog, I do quite miss them. Not everything can stay purrrfect. When you have nine lives, I suppose one of them must have a challenge once or twice. Wouldn’t you agree?
