5 Things to Love About BlogPaws

BlogPaws essential pet

It’s that time of the year again and we’re all getting very excited for our favorite annual pet bloggers conference: BlogPaws. There are many things to love about this exciting get together! Here are my top five all time favorites! And keep in mind that these things are also pretty consistent. Year after year, these five things ring true.

5 things to love about BlogPaws (in no specific order):

  1. All of the adorable pets –

It’s so much fun to see the beautiful pets that join us for BlogPaws. One year, at Lake Las Vegas, someone brought a capybara! Another favorite is the woman with the pet stroller full of furry felines that look like they just stepped off of the runway. Every year I get excited to see their beautiful and award-winning attire. Too much fun! Unfortunately, I have not been able to bring my own pet. Maybe next year!

Tip for a new attendee: People who are not able to bring their pets sometimes bring a stuffed version or cut out version of their furry friends. It’s a great conversation starter and way to include them, even if they can’t physically be in attendance.

  1. The informative classes and speakers that enlighten us with their wide array of knowledge –

I’ve had the opportunity to attend the show as a pet blogger and an exhibitor. I’ll have to admit that being an exhibitor is a lot of fun. When you’re an exhibitor you are able to meet almost all of the bloggers because they stop by your booth to get a signature and learn about your products. It’s a blast! But, last year I was able to attend several classes where I learned more than I could’ve ever imagined. The most enlightening course was about SEO and Google Analytics. I took so many notes and pictures of the PowerPoint presentation that my phone ran out of space.

Tip for a new attendee: Bring your laptop and consider sitting in the front row. You won’t want to miss anything!

  1. How it’s always in a different place/location –

My first BlogPaws conference was in Salt Lake City, Utah and I was blown away. The BlogPaws team picks the best locations for fun with a community of like-minded individuals. This is my sixth BlogPaws conference. Each event has been a memorable and enjoyable experience that I will cherish for years to come!

Tip for a new attendee. Be sure to bring some tennis shoes and get out and about to check out the city that surrounds where the conference is being held. Isn’t that the reason why they choose such great locations to hold the conferences?

  1. The huge grab bags –

Speaking of goodies! All of my friends with pets know when I’ve attended a BlogPaws conference – and not just because I have a new t-shirt to show off! When I get home, I go through the humongous goodie bag you get upon event arrival and select which items to give to which friend. Of course, I keep a few for myself too. Last year I fell in love with the Nature’s Miracle Urine Illuminator spray. I currently have an extra-large jug of it at home.

Tip for a new attendee: Bring an extra empty travel bag for items you receive at the conference. A lot of people will give away goodies and you’ll need a bag to ship them back in.

  1. The BlogPaws crew –

The BlogPaws staff is incredible. There’s no denying that. BlogPaws has seen some changes over the years, yes. But the same familiar faces appear on stage and around the show each year. The owners and founders are there with their incredible smiles and hard work ethics. Last year, I had the honor of chatting with one of the founders about images and copyright issues. He took the time to dig deep with me and helped me learn a few things that I didn’t known before. The BlogPaws staff is helpful, courteous and most of all believers in what they are teaching us.

Tip for a new attendee: Do a little bit of research before the show and learn about the BlogPaws team. Remember what they look like and go up to them during the conference and say hello. They have a wealth of knowledge and are willing to share that knowledge with you. They might also be teaching a course, so be sure to attend those as well.

I can’t wait to see you all at BlogPaws in Kansas City, Missouri. It’s going to be an amazing time!
