Few things elicit more excitement from our four-legged friends than special treats. Sure, going for a ride is great and fetch is fun, but taking the time to bake a sweet snack with human food? That’s one sure way to win your pup’s affection! These peanut butter pupcakes are made with entirely dog-friendly foods and smell so good, your dog will be abso-woof-ly ecstatic to see them come out of the oven.

Wagging tails don’t lie- these peanut butter pupcakes are doggone drool-worthy!

Peanut Butter Pupcakes

Ingredients:

Pupcake:

  • 3 Tbsp peanut butter (be sure it doesn’t contain xylitol)

  • 2 Tbsp oil of your choice

  • 1½ banana- mashed (save the other ½ banana for the frosting)

  • 1 Tbsp honey

  • ½ C flour

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ¼ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ C shredded carrots (optional)

Frosting:

  • ½ banana

  • 2 Tbsp peanut butter

Directions:

  1. Mix peanut butter, oil, banana, and honey until well combined.

  2. In a separate bowl, stir together dry ingredients. Gradually add dry ingredients to peanut butter mixture, and stir together until smooth.

  3. Spoon mixture evenly into 6 greased or lined cupcake cups

  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350º, or until lightly browned on top.

  5. While the pupcakes are baking, mix together the peanut butter and banana for the frosting with an electric mixer, until smooth. For best results, wait until pupcakes are completely cooled before frosting.
